BIOGRAPHY Clifford Percy Evans was born August 21, 1889, in Salt Lake City to David and Ellen Midgley Evans.
In June of 1918, Evans was drafted into the armed services and fought in World War I. After his discharge, he returned to Salt Lake and began working on two large commissions: the Automobile Retailing Complex on Social Hall Avenue and the adjoining Belvedere Apartment House on State Street.
The Miller, Woolley, and Evans partnership was dissolved in 1922.

Clifford is survived by two daughters, Mary McClure of Arizona and Bonnie Apperson and husband Rawlins of Alaska; son-in-law, John Douglas of Quincy, Illinois; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

His interest in this area resulted in creating the distance-learning piano course on video and DVD "Learn the Piano with Clifford Evans", which has sold in 17 countries over the Internet, and is much enjoyed by those who use it.
Clifford is currently working on a series of piano CDs.

Archaeology allows the study of environmental limitations of an area, according to Betty J. Meggers, who with her late husband Clifford Evans studied the archaeology of the Amazon Basin.
Speaking at Boise State University, Dr. Meggers, who is associated with the Smithsonian Institution, indicated that an examination of pottery shows the periods of habitation in the various areas along the Amazon.
