One of the Clinton County volunteers under Capt. Wood was Alexander Sproul, and was a Revolutionary War veteran; the only other member of the company who had served in the Revolution was his neighbor James Williams.
Wood's men returned to Clinton County upon the expiration of their enlistment and were discharged at Robert Pogue's house on November 13th.
