		Clinton is a census-designated place located in Prince George's County, Maryland.
		Clinton was originally founded by the Surratt family in the 1770s.
		On April 14, 1865, John Wilkes Booth, the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln, stopped by the Surratts boardinghouse as he fled Washington, D.C. Because of her complicity in the Lincoln assassination, Mary Surratt was hanged at Capitol Prison in Washington.
