Clip show - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In television, a clip show is an episode of a series, usually a sitcom, that consists primarily of excerpts from previous episodes, generally depicted as a sequence of flashbacks given plausibility by a frame tale.
Clip shows typically received strong ratings, and it was expected for any successful comedy series to feature clip shows regularly in its later years.
One of the most recent soap opera clip shows was an episode of As the World Turns in which seven of the longest running characters were stranded in a forest and remembered some of their best moments, all in honor of ATWT's 50th anniversary.

The clips themselves are really long, and cut many of the jokes that made the episodes themselves so funny in the first place, and it ends up boring me. So much so that I can't even watch it past the first five minutes anymore.
It takes a standard clip show, puts a hilarious introduction in there, uses a unique format with underused clips in there and damnit, the songs are catchy.
The other clip shows seem reverent to the show, but this one is quite the opposite.

"Not another crappy clip show..." - The Fuselage
I completely agree about the clip show, too.* I don't watch Desperate Housewives, and didn't know they had a clip show, too.* It was somewhat interesting to re-watch old episodes and get a feel for where we'll be for next week's new episode, but "The Journey"* was overall pretty awful.
The show is one of the best written and performed dramas on network tv today, yet they've made a few mistakes and theres nothing wronmg about discussing those missteps.
The clip show was god awful and a waste of time; I will agree with you on that one, but personally I think the last 3-4 episodes have been awesome.

Clipping Your Horse for a Show
There are several types of clips, the most common are the full body clip, the hunter clip, the trace clip and the neck and belly clip.
The clips shown above are good for riding during the winter, when there are fewer shows and it is harder to cool your horse off quickly.
If you are going to show, horses can take a long time (about twelve weeks) to grow out, so you either want to give your horse a full body clip or not clip at all.

During the December 2 broadcasts of O'Reilly's Fox News talk show The O'Reilly Factor and his Fox News radio show The Radio Factor with Bill O'Reilly, O'Reilly used a year-old video clip from The Daily Show to demonstrate what he claims is an ongoing "war on Christmas" by secular forces.

ABC officials say the show was a special that aired the week before the show’s season premiere and should not be included in Lost’s regular season-to-date ratings.
The show only earned a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49 and only 9 million total viewers, compared to the first two episodes of the regular series this season, which recorded an average 7.3 in 18-49 and 17.8 million viewers.
A Nielsen representative said the Sept. 27 episode aired in the regular Lost time period and Nielsen rules state that a clip show special must air in another time period, possibly preceding an actual series episode on the same night, for it to be considered a special episode of that series.
