The Pirate Parrot is the mascot of the Pittsburgh Pirates, debuting in 1979.
He is a large green parrot who wears a Pirates jersey and cap.
During the Pittsburgh drug trials of 1985, the original parrot, Kevin Koch, was implicated for buying cocaine and introducing players to drug dealer Curtis Strong, a caterer for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Hopefully we’ll be able to move in about three weeks from now, until then he’s stuck in the petshop.
Unfortunately Cloncurry parakeets seem to be one of the types of bird no-one feels like writing much about.
I’ve successfully kept Budgies and Cockatiels before but they aren’t particularly demanding, and as he is an Australian parakeet I’m hoping there isn’t too much difference in care and handling.
