The success of Star Wars: Clone Wars, which Star Wars creator George Lucas refers to as the "pilot series", led to a second Clone Wars series—the similarly titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars—which is being produced by Lucasfilm Animation and is set to debut in 2008.
The cartoons were successful enough for Dark Horse to release a comics series, Clone Wars Adventures, based on the artwork and atmosphere of the show, in some cases with direct plot tie-ins.
According to the producer of both DVDs, Van Ling, the Clone Wars Volume II disc is to be released at such a late date due to an extremely tight schedule in producing the DVDs.

When the Jedi discovered a massive droid factory on Hypori, they led a group of Clone Troopers to the planet, but the campaign quickly collapsed into disaster: orbital mines caused the transports to crash behind enemy lines, and the Clone Troopers were all killed.
The new series of Clone Wars figures is on the same card that was nominated for a 2004 ToY award - an insert in the bubble shows the character in an action pose, while the back features a static pose and a few storyboard animatics.
The third season of Clone Wars, set to debut at the end of March, will show the events described in Episode III's opening crawl, so the cartoon is obviously tied closely to the actual movie.

These 5 minet cartoons are done by the same gut that originaly did Dexter lab and Samuri Jack.
Anakin still pisses me off, but the storyline in the cartoons is kinda cool, Mace kicks ass and the Clone Troopers are the coolest redshirts I've ever seen.
Take X-Men for instance, great movie, crap cartoon, none of the characters remotly relate to the story of mutants and it is all based around conflict always fighting with new foes you have never ever heard of.

As the title implies, "Clone Wars" will follow the story begun in "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones." Jedis Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker lead clone troopers in a war against separatist forces led by the evil Count Dooku.
"Clone Wars" will continue the story laid out in "Episode II," although it doesn't appear that it will establish plot points for "Episode III" as "The Animatrix" did for the "Matrix" sequels.

The weird thing with the clone wars stuff is that each episode is only 2 to 3 mins long.
I think the main problem with cartoons now a days is that most of them are made oversees.
I don't really watch superhero cartoons anymore so I couldn't tell you if the Batman style is overused, but many of the cartoons out now I think are pretty good, though Simpsons is going downhill.

Most fans complained that Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones did not feature enough of the "Clone Wars" mentioned back in Episode IV of the original trilogy.
The art style is well-known to fans of any of the Cartoon Network series, including Samurai Jack, etc. The image of extremely stylized characters may be jarring at first to Star Wars fans who are used to only seeing their favorite characters portrayed in live-action film.
What's more, Star Wars: Clone Wars lets fans see some brand new characters that didn't make the cut into the feature films, as well as the first-ever appearance of the main villain for Episode III: General Grievous.

Star Wars Clones Cartoon: Both Ain't it Cool and The Force.net have posted some rumors that have gotten Star Wars fans excited.
It seems that Lucasfilm is in the process of creating a show for the Cartoon Network based the Clone Wars, which Attack Of The Clones climatic end battle started.
Since the series is supposedly being created by Lucasfilm is could be in fact a CGI based series instead of a typical animated series.

I can't be bothered planning on watching a show I don't really wanna see just for a 2 minute cartoon, even if it is Star Wars.
Roughnecks was a good show, and with today's CGI they could have made a kick-ass Clone Wars show.
If I were them I would make it with NEW charecters though, it would be about a teenage Padawan and his Master, who fight alongside the Clone Troopers.

III, since the Clone Wars is supposed to fill in the gap between Eps.
III is out on DVD 6 months after it's theatrical release, look for the Clone Wars DVD to hit shelves in August 2005...
That way I'll just have the "Star Wars: Clone Wars" opening titles at the beginning of episode one, and then each episode will play straight through with only the Chapter titles appearing in between.
