Clonskeagh or Clonskea (Irish Cluain Sceach, "meadow of the whitethorn"), is a southern suburb of Dublin, in the Republic of Ireland.
Clonskeagh is primarily a residential area, developed in the early decades of the 20th Century.
The northern end of the Clonskeagh Road at the junction with Eglinton Road / Milltown Road separates it from Ranelagh to the north; the campus of University College Dublin at Belfield is to the east; Goatstown and Dundrum to the south.

Walking up to Clonskeagh from Donnybrook one windy Sunday, I realise two things — one, the Dodder is far prettier than I ever imagined, and two, if this was any other modern city there would be a dedicated walkway along its banks, not this mess of plastic bags, discarded paper bins and shopping trolleys.

Computer maker Hewlett-Packard is to close its facility in Clonskeagh over the next year.
The company says there will be no redundancies associated with the closure and all affected staff will move to HP's Liffey Park facility in Leixlip, Co Kildare.
1,400 are employed in Ireland in the Galway, Leixlip and Clonskeagh facilities.

I believe there is one foreign restaurant in the vicinity, and although it is allegedly quite nice, I wouldn't say it's nice after eating the same thing for a month or two.
And getting to Clonskeagh using public transport is a killer.

Mary Seavers died from her injuries in Beaumont Hospital, just over three weeks after the crash at Vergemount on May 22nd.
