The "Sin" mixes first though, remixed by Adrian Sherwood and Keith LeBlanc, who did a fine job with "Down In It", this song really doesn't match their techno beat restructuring, and in fact the aggression of the song is pretty much swallowed up in a programmed beat and irritating synth effects.
But "Get Down Make Love" though, this is the great missing early Nine Inch Nails piece, produced by Al Jourgenson, Reznor takes a fantastic Queen song and restructures it into his own vision, staying true to the original but at the same time fully claiming it as his own.

There are perfs that are worthy such as "Closer", "Suck", and the perfect closure of the concert, "Hurt", while songs like "La Mer", "The Great Below", and "The Mark Has Been Made" brought depressing ambience 'ad libitum'; that's "at pleasure" to non-Latin folks.

Yea-it's finally finished...let's hope he went back to his older sound and dumped that Fragile crap....I hear he's grown quite bitter, and angry again due to being broke....word is he's suing a bunch of people trying to get some money together....sorry to hear that, but the venting anger makes for better music from reznor.
I have closure on tape...it's 2 tapes actually...one with backstage footage and one with all his videos up to perfect drug...good stuff...the backstage stuff is quite fascinating...I used to watch it daily for a while-the interaction is so creepy...there's an awesome bowie/reznor version of Hurt on the tape too.
I highly recommend any NIN to drop the $14 on the DVD-A version, get home and put it in their 5.1 system and just close your eyes for 65 minutes to help absorb the engineering and musical masterpiece that is The Downward Spiral.
