Simulation & Computer Integration in Board Games
Computer games can be more detailed, because computers are by their nature very good at computing.
Computer games are a sort of a fl box, where players enter some input and get some output in return, based on rules they can't be sure of.
The games that could benefit from this kind of computer integration tend to be on the heavier end of the scale and thus quite far from mainstream board games (I couldn't come up with any popular board games that would really benefit from computer integration).

GameOver - Clue 2: Murder at Boddy Mansion (c) Hasbro Interactive
We seem to have had quite a slew of Hasbro games in the last few weeks, and thankfully, they seem to be pretty solid PC game conversions of popular board games.
Clue 2 - Murder at Boddy Mansion is no exception to this rule; in fact, it stands out as one of the best board game conversions I have tried.
I know board games are a tough sell to most of the hardcore gaming crowd, but you should maybe get one for your little brother or sister for Christmas, and check it out, they are actually kind of fun.

Several years ago, the publisher released a computer version that was so incredibly bad and buggy, it was pulled off shelves almost as quickly as it got there.
This game was excellent, faithfully reproducing the fun we all fondly remember while at the same time adding the possibility of moving among the rooms in three-dimensional space rather than just on a flat board.
Although the connection to the original board game is somewhat loose, involving primarily similar characters and sleuthing to solve who committed a murder, this is a noble and clever expansion of the original theme that involves much more penetrating, complex, and, ultimately, riveting detective work.
