Amtrak has a complex albeit decentralized management structure wherein individual train conductors and other staff are assigned to particular routes or stations whereas ticket sales are managed by a nationwide computer system.

The first frame was taken from the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot southbound platform and shows an Amtrak San Diegan approaching the station cab forward while a freight train passes it heading north on the center track.
Frames 40 through 53 show the interior of the Amtrak San Diegans Pacific (Custom) Class Car except for frames 49 through 51 which are of the regular Coach section on the same train.
