NationMaster - Encyclopedia: Cobra (programming language)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-05)
Cobra is a RAD programming language in development by Graham Kennedy.
Type-inferred languages superficially treat all data as not having a type, but actually do sophisticated analysis of the way the program uses the data to determine which elementary operations are performed on the data, and therefore deduce what type the variables have at compile-time.
Programming languages are not error tolerant; however, the burden of recognising and using the special vocabulary is reduced by help messages generated by the programming language implementation.

 CoBrA: Context Broker Architecture
In other systems, context is often implemented as programming language objects (e.g., Java classes), lacking the expressive power to support context reasoning and high-level knowledge sharing.
CoBrA provides a resource-rich context broker to maintain a shared model of context for all computing entities in an associated space.
CoBrA allows the users to define privacy policy to control the sharing and the use of their situational information (e.g., where they are, who they are with, what they are doing).

The third day was left for bugfixes, of which surprisingly few were necessary for the program to render the sample images.
But on the other hand, the speed of development was even higher than I expected, mostly due to Python's comfortable high-level language facilities, the quick turn-around times (because we didn't compile), and the complete lack of time-consuming pointer bugs.

Because IDL defines interfaces so strictly, the stub on the client side has no trouble meshing perfectly with the skeleton on the server side, even if the two are compiled into different programming languages, or even running on different ORBs from different vendors.
