The word for tea leaves or tea as a drink in many countries are derivatives from the Chinese character "cha." The Russians call it "cha'i", which sounds like "chaye" (tea leaves) as it is pronounced in northern China, and the English word "tea" sounds similar to the pronunciation of its counterpart in Xiamen (Amoy).
Tea is produced in vast areas of China from Hainan lsland down in the extreme south to Shandong Province in the north, from Tibet in the southwest to Taiwan across the Straits, totalling more than 20 provinces.

Cocoa Tea was born Calvin George Scott in Kingston Jamaica on September 3,1959, he began his career as a teenager from the exposure gained by singing in church and school choirs, recording his first song, "Searching In The Hills" in 1974.
Cocoa Tea's career moved forward in the 90's recording more hits with songs like "Riker's Island" and "No Blood For Oil", and "Oil Ting" which was banned in Jamaica for it's biting social commentary during the Gulf War.
Cocoa Tea has continued to record hits for various producers in the 90's including "Holy Mount Zion" for Digital-B in 1995, "I'm Not A King" for Exterminator, and a remake of Bob Marley's (one of his biggest inspirations) "Waiting In Vain" with DJ Cutty Ranks in 1997 to name a few.

A study in China, published in April last year, found tea drinkers were about half as likely to develop cancer compared with people who did not drink tea.
Their study found it was twice as rich in antioxidants as a glass of red wine, up to three times richer than a cup of green tea and up to five times richer than fl tea.
Although cocoa is found in many other products, such as chocolate, the researchers said drinking it was the best way of harnessing its health benefits.

Both green and fl tea lowered lipids and lipid oxidation in the hamsters, even at very low dilutions, according to a University of Scranton investigator.
Cocoa powder was even higher, containing seven times the amount of antioxidants found in the beans.

Altough he recorded some records when he was still in his teens, Calvin Scott aka Cocoa Tea definitely emerged in the eighties when he teamed up with the late Henry "Junjo" Lawes.
In 1985 he delivered his excellent debut album "Can't Stop Cocoa Tea", which was followed by such fine albums as "The Marshall", "Come Again", "Rikers Island" and "Kingston Hot".
The excellent title track "Unforgettable" is a tender reworking of a classic Nat King Cole tune, which Cocoa Tea turned into a tribute to his sorely missed departed spar Dennis "Emanuel" Brown.
