Code page - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Code page is the traditional IBM term used for a specific character encoding table: a mapping in which a sequence of bits, usually a single octet representing integer values 0 through 255, is associated with a specific character.
Microsoft defined a number of code pages known as the ANSI code pages (as the first one, 1252 was based on an ansi draft of what became ISO 8859-1).
Code page 1252 is built on ISO 8859-1 but uses the range 0x80-0x9F for extra printable characters rather than the C1 control codes used in ISO-8859-1.

Code page 437 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
IBM PC or MS-DOS code page 437, often abbreviated CP437 and also known as DOS-US or OEM-US, is the original character set of the IBM PC, circa 1981.
The codes can assume their original function as controls, but when placed in display RAM, for example in a screen editor like MS-DOS edit, they show as graphics.
All CP437 characters are in Unicode and in Microsoft's WGL4 character set, therefore in most of the fonts on Microsoft Windows, and also in the default VGA font of the Linux kernel, and the ISO 10646 fonts for X11.

Guide to Printers and Printing - Printer Code Page Translation Tables
Translation of code points in the print file to code points for the printer is a two-stage process (translation of code points for Oriental languages is handled differently).
The first 256 code points in the intermediate code page are identical to IBM Code Page 850, except that code points 0 through 31 (decimal) are ASCII control characters instead of printable characters.
at code point 255 indicates that the character at code point 255 in the intermediate code page cannot be printed by the printer code page described by this stage-2 translation table.

cpdetector, free java code page detection.
Code page - detection is needed whenever it is not known, which encoding a document belongs to.
A code page - which is also known as charset encoding - maps the raw data of a textual document to characters.
The original ASCII code page for example only uses 7 bits of an octet (byte) for deciding the character that is represented thus allowing only to map 128 different characters.

 Contributed Code - Nsnam
Codes (contributed by Jon Crowcroft) used for simulation work in the following papers are available in a tarred format.
Active network support for ns, where code is executed at the reception of capsules (a capsule is an active packet because it holds a reference to the code to be executed at the node).
Code is downloaded from the previous node on demand, and is cached on the node for later use by other arriving capsules of the same type.It works much like the ANTS toolkit (MIT), with demand loading support and caching at the node.

Guide to Printers and Printing - Printer Code Page Translation for Multibyte Code Sets
During the first stage of code-set translation, the input code set of the print file is translated to a process code set.
A translation table consists of maps between code points that are not shared by the two code sets.
When an input or an output code set is not supported by the iconv subroutine, the unsupported code set translates one of the code sets that are supported or directly to a process code set using the translation tables found in the /usr/lib/lpd/pio/transJP directory.

CoDe Magazine - Article: Ink on the Web
You have two ways to expose it to the end user interacting with the Web page: create public methods inside of the control that are called by the client side script and create internal functions that are completely handled by the control.
Note that in the sample Web page, the control, which was given the ID of MyInkControl, is inside a
tag with an ID of inkForm.
The second reason is that client-side coding is cumbersome and difficult to debug.
