 Star Trek
In the TNG episode " The Chase ", it is explained that many primordial worlds of the Federation were "seeded" by an ancient race of spacefarers, so that their dying race would live on in various forms around the galaxy.
Instead, the series chronicled the events surrounding the space station Deep Space Nine, a former Cardassian mining station under joint Bajoran and Federation control, near a wormhole to another quadrant of the galaxy, the Gamma Quadrant.
While most episodes of TOS were self-contained, there were several notable themes throughout the entire series.

Cold Station 12 (ENT episode) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
" Cold Station 12 " is the name of the 81st episode from the television series
In this episode, we learn that after the devastating Eugenics Wars (in which up to 35 million were killed), Earth's governments could not decide on the fate of the genetically enhanced embyos, so they were placed in cold storage for the time being.
We also find out that while Dr. Soong had stolen 19 embryos from Cold Station 12, some 1800 frozen embryos, leftover from the Eugenics Wars, are still stored at CS 12.

[TOS] Jammer's Review: Third Season Episode Guide
Unfortunately, this episode suffers from a crucial flaw in logic: the fact that the action of two extremely different rates of time are allowed in story terms to unfold alongside each other at the same rate.
Much of the episode consists of lackluster scenes where the crew attempts to determine the nature of the Zetarians and their hold over Romaine, and a few scenes analyzing Romaine herself as a crew member having trouble adjusting her attitudes to her new assignment.
This poorly conceived episode might've been better titled "Arena VII: The Abe Lincoln Factor." Seriously, was it really in remotely good taste for this episode to use Abraham Lincoln as a character in such a silly adventure?

 Scifispace.com's Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror Forums -> Enterprise's Cold Station 12...
As I watched the episode, I was frankly in shock at just how much of the plot was lifted from the pages of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan from the torture scenes of Cold Station-12 to the attack on Enterprise itself it was all too familiar.
Cold Station 12, the second segment starring the much vaunted fan favorite actor Brent Spiner, returned to lead the mini-arc once again down that beaten path.
The focus of the first episode in this arc should be on Soong’s death and the augments lashing out at Earth raiding shipping lanes to gain materials for future offensives against the Earth and her colonies.

 STARTREK.COM : Episode
As Enterprise heads to Cold Station 12, Soong and the Augments have indeed arrived, taking C-12 workers hostage and furiously trying to procure the embryos which are currently locked away.
And, in fact, when T'Pol hails the Station, Archer — though held captive — orders her to proceed with launching a destruct code, that Starfleet has given them, which will decimate Cold Station 12.
But shortly after they arrive on Cold Station, they are quickly overcome by the far-stronger Augments, who are completely impermeable to attacks of any kind.

Star Trek: Enterprise Episode Guide - SECTION31.COM
But "Cold Station 12", in a way reminiscent of last season's "The Forgotten", one of my favorite Xindi arc episodes, brought back the unique balance between the two, making the episode truly whole in a way nothing else could.
After seeing "Cold Station 12", it's clearer than ever that that emptiness was the unique blend of character and action epitomized by the ever-lauded Deep Space Nine.
In "Cold Station 12", Scott Bakula is clearly near the top of his game here, bringing back memories of his truly incredible performance in last season's "Twilight".

 TREKPULSE.com - Enterprise
It was called Cold Station 12 and they went to Cold Station 12.
I'm confused why there weren't ships guarding Cold Station 12 what with the Children on the loose?
A very disappointing episode following a damn good story which really has me wonder if Enterprise is in such good hands, that a three-part story carrying the guest star that is supposed to save the show from final ruination are so mismatched dipping quality and identity.

 STARTREK.COM : Article
In this chapter, Soong — who escaped the custody of Captain Archer in the last episode and joined his progeny — heads back to the medical facility where he once worked (the titular Cold Station 12) and which is where hundreds more genetically engineered human embryos are still secretly stored.
"Cold Station 12" was helmed by Mike Vejar, a veteran Trek director who was last on set for " Stratagem." The script was penned by Alan Brennert, a new staff writer with the title of Consulting Producer (but for his writing credit he will be listed as Michael Bryant).
Most of the episode was shot on swing sets representing different parts of C-12, including the Control Hub, several Corridors, a Containment Cell and a Stasis Chamber (where the embryos are kept — except they will be optically inserted in post).

Ex Astris Scientia - Star Trek Enterprise (ENT) Season 4
At latest since the attack on Cold Station 12 it was unmistakable that there was no arguing with these gangsters and that they were determined to subdue or destroy humanity.
The episode was littered with references to Trek history, plus several new terms like "Augments" or "Borderland", and it might have been wiser to limit the scope to just Earth's problem with the remnants of the Eugenics Wars.
Their stay in the Forge slows down the second half of the episode, and while they are not achieving any visible progress the more interesting events take place on Enterprise and on Vulcan.

 Arik Soong
Soong appeared in a three-episode story arc consisting of " Borderland "," Cold Station 12 ", and "The Augments".
The Augments free Soong from the Enterprise brig and proceed to Cold Station 12, a Starfleet and Denobulan run medical facility where the remaining 1,800 genetically-enhanced embryos are stored.
While director of the Starfleet Medical facility Cold Station 12, he stole nineteen genetically enhanced " Augment " embryos placed in stasis after the end of the Eugenics War.

GateWorld Forum - Enterprise- "Cold Station 12"
Cold Station 12 and Borderland are by far the best episodes of Enterprise that we've seen so far.
i dunno, the last episode wasn't too interesting to me. the plot was good, but lately, i feel enterprise is stuck, except for bringing up the idea of soong.
Now, honestly, the first ten minutes or so of this episode felt kinda off to me. Especially that damn crying scene.

 TREKGUIDE - Enterprise Season Four
Soong and his Augment "children" attack a research station where hundreds of genetically- enhanced embryos are being stored, intent on creating an entire race of the supermen.
Malik seizes command of the Augments to attempt to wipe out a Klingon colony and spark an interstellar war, forcing Dr. Soong to reconsider his plans for the genetically engineered race.
But when Orions capture nine crewmembers, they must first rescue them from a slave market.

· Cold Station 12 is that close to Klingon space?
I was thinking they could have alluded to the Klingons in this episode gathering augment DNA from the wreckage and using it to perform genetic therapy of some sort to augment existing Klingons.

 Dead Stop
Although, there were not as many superman action scenes as in 'Borderland', the Augment/Soong character interactions were entertaining enough to make it a worthwhile episode to watch.
His aggressiveness was displayed quite well in the science station's "torture chamber".
Soong was even more interesting to watch than in the previous episode.

 The 22nd Century
Editor's Note: The episode actually places this in 2069...but since this is only 6 years after first contact and the world would still be in ruins, it makes little sense - so it's been knocked forward 50 years.

The Trek Nation - Cold Station 12
Thus I am cautiously impressed with "Cold Station 12" - pleased in that the performances were up a notch, most of the things that irked me in "Borderland" had been toned down or were absent, and many of the things I appreciated were better-done in this sequel.
Eleven years later, as the hijacked Klingon ship approaches Cold Station 12, Soong warns that the station's crew must not be harmed, but Malik does not understand why Soong would risk Augment lives to save a few ordinary humans.
So while I think that there is much that is good in "Cold Station 12", I will like it best if it leads into a conclusion that tries to focus some of the modern-day problems the story parallels - that is, in short, like original Trek not just in broad outline but in theme.

The latest issue of DreamWatch magazine, just out in the UK, features an exclusive interview with ENTERPRISE actor John Billingsley ('Doctor Phlox'), in which he revealed a few tid bits about the upcoming episode 'Cold Station 12', the second episode featuring TNG star Brent Spiner as 'Doctor Arik Soong'.
I'll be surprised if anyone responds to my post, the only loophole that makes no bloody sense for Cold Station 12 is why were the embryos not destroyed after the Eugenics Wars?
The actor told the magazine that those three episodes featuring Spiner are part of a complicated story arc and perhaps the best set of ENTERPRISE episodes that have been made to date
