Coleshill was a small area of Hertfordshire, completely surrounded by Buckinghamshire, to the south west of Amersham.
COLESHILL, a chapelry partly in the parish of Amersham, hundred of Dacorum, county of Hertford, and partly in the parish of Beaconsfield, hundred of Burnham, county of Buckingham, 1¾ mile (S. by W.) from Amersham, containing 492 inhabitants.
Because Coleshill does not have an "ancient" parish church its inhabitants would have used adjacent parish churches or, in the case of non-conformists, local chapels or meetings.

Coleshill (formerly Stoke) is a village in Buckinghamshire, England.
The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'Coll's hill', though it has only been known by this name since the early 16th century.
The change of name occurred at about the same time as the village was annexed into the county of Buckinghamshire; previously it was a peculiar of Hertfordshire.

Edmund Waller (March 10, 1606 - October 21, 1687), English poet, was the eldest son of Robert Waller of Coleshill (then in Herts, now in Buckinghamshire) and Anne Hampden, his wife.
Early in his childhood his father sold his house at Coleshill and migrated to Beaconsfield[?].
He was admitted a fellow-commoner of King's College on March 22, 1620.

The Penn and Coleshill meeting will be held at Coleshill Village Hall on Thursday 14 September at 6pm, and the Chalfont St Giles and Seer Green meeting will take place on Tuesday 26 September at 7pm in the Seer Green Parish Church Hall.
