Charvis is being refused additional payments by the WRU for his extra media commitments as captain of the side - which meant skippers in the past received £10,000 (US$18.237) extra - but a recent WRU review of the pay structure resulted in each player receiving an extra £1,000 (US$1.823) for speaking to the media.
Charvis, however, seems to be of the belief that the extra duties that go with the captaincy warrant additional pay.
Charvis has reportedly now referred all media to WRU General Manager Steve Lewis, with the latter's relationship with the players reported to be rocky after the Celtic Warriors were disbanded.

Whether being named Welsh captain is a lucky break is open to question so low have their fortunes dived in recent years, but the England-born flanker believes that having regained the skipper's armband he can ignite a revival in the former dominant force in northern hemisphere rugby.
Humiliation though has been the watchword for Charvis, practically since he was selected for the Lions tour to Australia in 2001 where his relationship with Lions coach and at the time his national boss Graham Henry began to deteriorate.
Should Charvis fail to reflect such a eulogy then not only will Wales be back early but both he and Hansen can expect little mercy at the hands of the powers that be and his downward spiral will have hit rock bottom.
