Edward Colin Hendry (born December 7, 1965 in Keith) is a former Scottish professional football defender.
Colin Hendry managed to win 51 caps for Scotland despite the fact that he was a latecomer to the international scene, not making his debut until he was 27.
Hendry landed his first managerial job in June 2004 when he was appointed manager of his former club Blackpool, but was sacked by the club in November 2005 following a poor run of results.

Colin Hendry is currently awaiting a decision from FIFA as to whether or not he will face disciplinary action over Wednesday evening's clash with San Marino's nineteen-year-old substitute Nicola Albani.
Thirty-five-year-old Hendry, who has since apologised for the retaliation, has been backed by Scottish coach Craig Brown, who claimed it was out of character.
Hendry will be hoping that he will be treated more leniently than Italy's Mauro Tasotti, who received an eight-match ban after the 1994 World Cup Finals for a similar assault on Spain's Luis Enrique.

In a statement, Mrs Hendry said she brought the claim to highlight the dangers of cosmetic surgery and urged anyone thinking of going under the knife to check the credentials of their surgeon.
Her solicitor Stephen Jones said Mrs Hendry did not wish to disclose the amount awarded but said it was "one of the highest ever in a cosmetic surgery case".
