Incumbent Colin Sharman seemingly avoided a run-off in the District 4 election by only one vote, but challenger Jim Gustino said he might challenge the official results.
Sharman, though, won the election outright by collecting 106 absentee and provisional ballots last Friday to claim 50.15 percent of the total vote to Gustino's 34.44 percent.
Sharman, who the commission appointed last year to serve the remainder of former Commissioner Carol Nichols' term, said he is eager to begin his first full term as an elected official.

COLIN SHARMAN, senior partner of the UK accountancy firm KPMG, has become what is thought to be the first British accountant to be paid more than £1m.
This follows a 19pc increase in the firm's fee income in the year to September to £867m, boosted by a leap in the management consultancy side.
Mr Sharman, who has since been promoted to international chairman, is believed to have received well over £1m.
