 Roger Clemens Award on Baseball Almanac
All Division I head baseball coaches will take part in the voting for the honor, in addition to a selected panel of national media and all past winners of the Rotary Smith Award, which was retired after the 2003 dinner by the committee that is sponsoring the Clemens Award.
The Roger Clemens Award was named after future Hall of Famer Roger Clemens, who began his march to stardom while leading the University of Texas to the College World Series title in 1983.
The Rotary Smith Award paid tribute to the college baseball player of the year and we invite you to examine all the recipients — who are able to vote for the Roger Clemens Awards winner — here on Baseball Almanac.

The Brooks Wallace Award is presented annually by the College Baseball Foundation to the National Player of the Year in NCAA Division I baseball.
The Brooks Wallace Award is dedicated to the memory of the former Texas Tech player and assistant coach, who was a slick-fielding shortstop at Texas Tech from 1977 to 1980.

The Ferrum College Panthers finished their conference schedule with a 16-5 league mark to claim the number one seed in this week’s USA South Conference Tournament, which will be hosted by the City of Danville at Dan Daniel Park.
