Other good Labrador rivers, which can only be reached by plane and helicopter, are the Eagle, White Bear and Sandhill in southern Labrador and the Big, St. Michael's, Adlatok and Hunt Rivers on the north Labrador Coast.
On the Island of Newfoundland there are some areas where brook trout are found in good numbers, although not as big as the Labrador fish.

His Majesty's Bark Endeavour was originally a merchant collier named Earl of Pembroke, whose construction was completed by early 1768 at Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Despite not being very fast her flat-bottomed hull was well-suited to sailing in shallow waters and more importantly for her proposed use, she was, like other colliers of the north-east coast of England, designed to be beached.
The impasse was broken by Philip Stephens proposing James Cook who had done good work as a surveyor in Newfoundland and Labrador.
