Collin de Plancy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Collin de Plancy followed the tradition of many previous demonologists of cataloguing demons by name and title of nobility, as it happened with grimoires like Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, and The Lesser Key of Solomon among others.
Jacques-Albin-Simon Collin de Plancy (1793-1887) was a French occultist, demonologist and writer; he published several works on occultism and demonology.
In 1818 his most known work, Dictionnaire Infernal, was published for the first time in 1818, and in 1863 there were added some images that made famous the edition; this is a book on demonology, which contains some imaginative drawings concerning the appearance of certain demons.

It was written by Collin de Plancy and first published in 1818.
The Dictionnaire Infernal is a book on demonology that includes the names and description of many demons relating to demonology, organised in hellish hierarchies.
There were several editions of the book, but perhaps the most famous is that of 1863, in which sixty-nine illustrations were added to the book.

Mammon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mammon is somewhat similar to the Greek god Plutus, and the Roman Dis Pater, in his description, and it is likely that he was at some point based off of them, especially since Plutus appears in The Divine Comedy, as a wolf-like demon of wealth, wolves being associated with greed in the Middle Ages.
Nicholaos de Lyra (commenting on the passage in Luke) says: "Mammon est nomen daemonis" (Mammon is the name of a demon).
Thus Peter Lombard (II, dist. 6) says, "Riches are called by the name of a devil, namely Mammon, for Mammon is the name of a devil, by which name riches are called according to the Syrian tongue." Piers Plowman also regards Mammon as a deity.

J.A.S. Collin de Plancy then published the set with brief descriptions in his book "Dictionnaire Infernal." The book was published in French thoughout the 1800s in several editions.
All of these are cross-referenced (cf) to their longer descriptions somewhere else in the site, as de Plancy's descriptions aren't very long - they also aren't exact translations, as I've condensed most of them further to make them more readable & to avoid plagarizing the newer English translation of the text (Trident Books, 1999).

Raphael was then assigned by Yahveh to "bind Azazel's hands and feet; cast him into the darkness and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dudael.

The Empire of Great Han at the Universal Exposition
As the name suggests, Victor Emile Marie Joseph Collin de Plancy (1853-1924) was born in Plancy, a small town near Troyes in the Champagne region of eastern France, the son of a Jesuit priest and prolific writer on the occult whose name is still much more familiar in France than that of his son.

Particularly well received were his “chrysanthemum festivals” held every autumn in the gardens of the French legation, during which guest strolled the peaceful grounds in the midst of the budding capital, admiring the park with its greenhouses of flowers.
