		Of the Pythons I have owned and the bunch I have shot that friends and relatives have had - it is by far the BEST revolver I have ever shot/handeled (as far as fit/finish/accuracy is concerened).
		However, this Python is the first revolver I've ever owned from Colt- I bought a Detective Special for my sister but that is as close as I have come.
		I learned to shoot on a Colt Officers Model Special.22 target revolver, (sort of a Python's grampa), and when I enlisted in the AF and had to learn to shoot a Smith and Wesson I had a hard time adjusting.

		I have had nothing but good luck with colt and I own quite a few Pythons.
