The game is historically accurate, and usually ends with a decisive Battle of the Plains of Abraham, as did the actual campaign.

Reason is, of course, the decision made by Columbia Games: "To improve product output and customer service, all Columbia Games products will henceforth be sold ONLY by mail order, telephone, or via www.columbiagames.com." Which is of course nice, except when you live outside USA.
Sort of a same thing with roleplaying games; I've been a Columbia customer on that front since early 90's, first through European distributors, and for the last eight years or so, as direct customer (it might be few cents cheaper, but the difference comes from getting products right away).

For their generation, video games provide one of their most significant imaginative past-times, a fact which is predictably causing no end of concern among parents, teachers, intellectuals and, well, the usual suspects.
Which is why, when the generation of writers and artists who’ve grown up immersed in virtual playgrounds begin using the medium of the video game itself to "boil in the intensity" of their experiences, many in the so-called art and literary worlds won’t even notice.
Games like The Sims, The Getaway and Myst and on-line gaming in general are all pushing the boundaries of the genre in aesthetically challenging ways.
