This is a magnet-style school, drawing children from the local area (primarily fl kids) as well as kids from other Maplewood districts because their parents like the sound of the school.
I went to a school on the border between a rich white area and a poor fl area, and so the school was 'naturally' integrated at a time (the late 70s) when there was plenty o' bussing going on to maintain desegregation of high schools.
