		Colvin was married, on the 12th of April, 1868, to Miss Sylvia E. Allen, who was born in St. Lawrence county, New York, April 30, 1847.
		Colvin gives his support to the democratic party but aside from casting his vote for its men and measures at the polls is not active in politics, preferring to concentrate his energies upon his personal affairs.
