Comair is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines based in Erlanger, Kentucky, USA, a city near the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport, which serves Cincinnati, Ohio.
Comair is one of the world's largest regional airlines, operating under the name Delta Connection to a large number of destinations in the USA, Canada and the Bahamas.
Comair came to nationwide attention in the United States during Christmas 2004 when it cancelled all of its 1,160 flights for Saturday December 25 and Sunday December 26, stranding 30,000 people, many of them never reaching their destination for the holidays.

As a result of my exposure to Comair, SkyWest, and several other regional airlines, I've come to the conclusion that SkyWest may well be the best regional airline in the country to work for.

When I toured Comair Aviation Academy in April of 1992, the price for the whole program was somewhere around $24,000.
Of the ones who make it to be flight instructors there, nearly all of them wind up going on to fly at Comair or some other airline shortly after finishing up their term as a flight instructor.
One of the things I observed, which is probably still the case, is that the people who were Comair Aviation Academy instructors and students were generally far better prepared than those from the outside, even though the ones from the outside typically had significantly more experience.
