  Combat Information Center
The Combat Information Center, referred to as CIC or “Combat” for short, is the communications and electronics hub of the ship.
During normal operations, CIC supports the bridge and the OOD by tracking and identifying surface and air contacts, coordinating with shoreside command centers via satellite communications systems, and communicating with other vessels via maritime radio traffic.
CIC’s primary purpose, however, is to assume tactical control of the cutter and employ THETIS’ various weapons and defense systems during combat operations.

This particular interior panorama depicts the Combat Information Center (CIC) where both friendly and enemy ships, planes, submarines, and other units were tracked on plotting boards, tables, radar, and other instruments.
When in operation, a number of officers and crew served in the CIC around the clock, plotting locations of units on the large boards, monitoring radar displays, and keeping lists of the status of the ship's aircraft as well as radio call signs they used while away.
When viewed in person the CIC appears much darker than the panorama suggests, but a 2-3 second exposure brings out the details of the boards and equipment via reflection and built-in light sources, making for a more interesting scene.

The latest enhancements have included extension of the CIC to a distributed simulation, so multiple users can cooperate in the same virtual environment.
