		The end result was that “Megatrends...” was limited to 15000 copies, CM paid Earache $10000, and the guy who first let us record the album (paid for the studio etc.) and then sold it to CM lost his money.
		The Black Metal bands have different tonality in their riffs, so I usually find it too rocky.
		It sounds like a natural development; when DM bands find that their stuff doesn’t excite people they try to twist and bend it for a while before quitting.

		Much dissatisfied with Earache, the band resolved at this point to leave the label and it was a couple of years before things were all right contractually and the band found itself with new management (previously managed by a Morbid Angel road manager) and new label Music For Nations.
		At least a video of the band's performance might yield some surprises, although the sight of five ex-heavy metallers on stage with a bunch of dancers is more likely to elicit laughter than new fans.

		Sadly, playing folk/industrial-influenced rock in Sweden in the 90's is quite an ungrateful affair, even if the band had a large group of devoted fans during their 6 years of existence.
		In 1996 the band was declared defunct and its members scattered, some abroad, some into other bands not nearly as interesting.

		However, van Drunen left shortly afterwards to front his own band, Asphyx (subsequently forming Submission and acting as guest vocalist on the second Comecon album), with Mameli taking over as vocalist.
		Pestilence finally split in 1994, with Mameli becoming increasingly hostile to the death metal fraternity that had devoured the band's work.
