I last got nailed by Comet Cursor in July when I was experimenting with my IE security setting and clicked on a seemingly harmless link in a Google search.
The Comet Cursor uninstall option works fairly well, but even after uninstalling it, the AdAware spyware removal program still found 3 files that were related to the Comet spyware program.

Rosen said the cursor software only connected to Comet's servers to check for software updates and, for billing purposes, to upload information about what cursors the user had selected.
