Comico Comics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Comico was founded in 1982 by a group of artists and publishers in the Norristown area who had previously printed a local school paper called Duckwork.
While Comico had proven to be a serious contender as a third major comic company, a decision in mid-1986 spelled the end of the comic company: it began to publish to the newsstand market.
Comico began printing again in 1992 with various Elementals related comics, and in 1993 flooded the market with various one-shot Elementals specials.

Grendel (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Originally a noir comic concerning a criminal mastermind, it has evolved into, in Wagner's words, a study of the nature of aggression.
He first appeared in 1982 in the anthology Comico Primer, followed by a three-issue fl and white miniseries in 1983, and his complete story was reworked and told in Grendel: Devil by the Deed, serialised as a backup story in Wagner's series Mage and since collected into a 48-page prestige format one-shot.
The ongoing Grendel series was published by Comico from 1986 to 1990, with Wagner as writer collaborating with a a variety of artists.

Although no JQ comic book is currently in production (not even the non-classic "Real Adventures" version once produced by Dark Horse), it is still possible to find and collect the set of Jonny Quest comic books produced by a company called Comico.
These comics were decently promoted, and, on the whole, very well received, at least at first, although an eventual downturn in circulation eventually ended the series.
Each comic is an adaption of another Classic JQ episode; and sometimes the adaptation is markedly different that the original episode, so they're worth seeing just to experience.
