 Roman Emperors - DIR Firmus
An examination of Firmus' family and their position within the Roman social, political, and military structure reveals that the line between "barbarian" and "Roman" was a thin one indeed.
[[14]] Firmus' father Nubel was a praepositus in the equites armigeri iuniores, which was a vexillatio comitatensis stationed in Africa.
Nubel's wife Nonnia and father Saturninus were Roman, while his mother Collcial was probably a Moor.

The Praesidienses later appear as a legio Comitatensis in the Gallic field army.
Members demonstrate crafts and skills from the period, such as bone and woodworking, cooking, leather work, pottery and medical skills.

H-Net Review: Wayne Lee on The Rise and Decline of the Late Roman Field Army
Richard Cromwell, branching out considerably from his previous scholarly works on modern German history, attempts here to survey, in very brief compass, the origins and consequences of the development of the Roman comitatensis, or mobile field army, from approximately 280 A.D. to the end of the western Roman Empire in 476.
Cromwell turns instead to the relatively rapid decline of the western empire, particularly under Honorius (with Stilicho as the military commander) and his immediate successors.
It is also important to note that Cromwell ignores the Limitanei, the old army as converted to border troops, save for noting their occasional use as pools of recruits for the comitatensis.

Diocletian and Constantine officially divided the Roman army into the COMITATENSIS, or mobile fighting force, and the LIMITANEI or troops assigned to guard the frontier.
This pattern was kept and maintained until the end of the Western Roman Empire.
The idea behind the COMITATENSIS was to have a highly mobile field army that could be ready to go anywhere in the empire at a moment's notice and be on the scene of trouble in two to three weeks.

Heres an example of how to get the modells and textures right in your BI/data/descr_model_battle.txt.
With a layout ike this, you wil get the principes model and skin when recrouting comitatensis.
You can allso change the name, but then you need to edit atleast 4 other txt files, and you should read an "add new unit" tutorial for that.
