The actual definition of music is hotly contested, and sounds accepted as music vary according to historical era and culture, but it is usually held that the sounds must at least be consciously organized, either by an individual or a group.
Music can be performed by a single musician, or several may band together to form a musical ensemble such as a rock band or orchestra.
Deaf people can experience music by feeling the vibrations in their body; the most famous example of a deaf musician is the composer Ludwig van Beethoven, who composed many famous works even after he had completely lost his hearing.

A TU is defined as 1/720th of the interval of a ditonic (Pythagorean) comma.
The syntonic comma is the interval difference between the "Pythagorean" major third generated by four fifths ((3/2)^4) vs. the pure major third in that same octave (4*(5/4)).
The syntonic comma is therefore ((3/2)^4) / (4*(5/4)), or 81/80.

Consonance and Dissonance - Issues in Tuning and Temperament   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
There are four general ways of dealing with the Pythagorean comma: (1) ignore it, (2) minimize it, (3) adapt to it, or (4) hide it.
Indeed, in many musical cultures, such as in the musics of Bali and Java, the common tuning systems bear little similarity to just intervals, so it is possible that there is no underlying preference for just intervals.
This approach is evident in the music of Harry Partch, who created his own musical instruments capable of playing 43 notes per octave.

They hail out of the doorway to Asia - Turkey - and their music is also somewhat influenced by the traditional Turkish music which is one of the reasons why their sound is so different from most other bands.
When talking genre Comma would be put in the progressive metal category but since they once started out in 1998 as a pure heavy metal band they have a less complex and more straight-forward approach.
This isn´t the kind of music you would expect from a country like Turkey but Comma is definitely a growing promise that should be appreciated by fans of metal in general since it is not as progressive as many other European and American acts.

Pythagorean Tuning and Medieval Polyphony - Table of Contents
While our focus here is on the music of medieval Europe, the concept of a tuning based on a series of twelve notes in perfect fifths also plays an important part in other world musical traditions, for example in Chinese theory and practice.
Providing a simple and elegant way of generating a musical scale, this tuning system may have a special appeal for styles of harmony where fifths and fourths are the most favored intervals, as is true in the ensemble music of Chinese and related traditions, for example, as well as in medieval European polyphony.
Rather, techniques of tuning and notation interact creatively with musical style in each period, and should all be taken into consideration in understanding and recreating the music of a given age.
