Robert Durbin, commanding general, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, addresses Afghan generals during the ceremony marking the beginning of the first-ever Afghan Command and General Staff College class.
General officers from the Afghan National Police and the Afghan National Army will attend this six-month course designed to give these leaders the strategic tools they need to effectively lead their forces.

General Meigs was born in Annapolis, Maryland, on January 11, 1945.
