Model commercial vehicle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Like model cars, model commercial vehicles are sold both as kits for the enthusiast to construct and paint and as pre-built, pre-painted collectible models.
Enthusiasts may pursue commercial vehicle modeling in its own right or as an adjunct to model railways, where the vehicles add verisimilitude to a layout (for example: trucks in a goods yard; buses at a station).
The most popular die cast scales for commercial vehicles are 1:43 and 1:50, coming from their initial role as props in O scale model railway layouts.

Commercial traffic was prohibited from traveling on the Grand Central Parkway and for years the streets of Astoria have been clogged by truck traffic.
Westbound vehicles traveling from the BQE to the Triborough Bridge were also required to exit onto Astoria Boulevard North and use the local street network to access the Bridge from the 29th Street ramp.
Vehicle volume data and travel time/speed data were also collected, but these parameters are less indicative of the program's effectiveness (at least in the westbound direction) because of fluctuating traffic constrictions associated with MTA reconstruction activities on the Triborough Bridge before and during the monitoring of the Pilot Program.
