  Internationalism and international links
When the Second International was launched in 1889 it brought together much broader forces in the form of the new mass workers’ parties which were being formed in Europe in the last quarter of the 19th century.
An international worthy of the name will bring together parties which have proved their worth in their own countries and which are able to participate as equals.
Internationals are not built by ideological pre-selection, but by bringing together forces that are capable of meeting the challenges facing the working class at a particular period.

 The Nobel Prize in Literature
The statutes also provided for a Nobel Committee "to give their opinion in matter of the award of the prizes" and for a Nobel Institute with a library which was to contain a substantial collection of mainly modern literature.
International criticism of the Literature Prize has usually treated the Academy's practice during the first century of the Prize as a whole, overlooking the differences in outlook and criteria between the various periods, even neglecting the continuous renewal which makes the Academy of, say, 1950 a jury much different from Wirsén's.
A first-year candidate, she was launched by a Committee minority as late as 19 September, to win the contest a short time afterwards, without due consideration.

11 - The Need for a New Marxist Organization by the Minnesota Committee of Correspondence >
Marxists place particular stress on the last point, since the transition from capitalism to socialism is by definition an end to the capitalist exploitation of wage labor.
Another important connection made by Marxists is that the international solidarity among capitalists will lead them to combine their forces to suppress people's movements whenever the control of the capitalist state is threatened.
As Marxists we must recognize that the focus on economic issues, without the simultaneous organization of an independent labor-based political party, has left the working people of the United States in a desperate position of declining power in the battle against the ruling class.

 ECOFIN
The objective of the ECOFIN committee is to explore the financial, political, and economic issues affecting developing and developed nations.
Therefore, the Marxists and neo-Marxists believe that the only strategy for economic development in developing countries to be successful is to eliminate the international economic system and create a completely new system.
This theory is similar to the Marxist theory because Structuralists believe that promoting trade and foreign investment in the international system for developing countries widens the gap between the developing countries and the developed countries.

Convinced that socialism (as a society of transition towards communism) is the only alternative to the present mode of production, these forces are working, each in their own country and together on an international level, to give over to this objective all their capacity for mobilization.

The ways norms are identified as international law include agreements negotiated by the affected parties, deference to a third-party decision-maker, academic persuasion and consensus, and custom (state practice and the opinion that the practice is dictated by a legal obligation).
Nonetheless, it may be invoked as a rule of international law, at least in claims based on injury to persons, because it is a general principle common to the major legal systems of the world and is not inappropriate for international claims.
International Law case law developed within a tradition of ad hoc tribunals established by agreements to arbitrate particular disputes, and a permanent "Court of Arbitration" was established at the Hague in 1899.

Declaration of the Coordination Committee of the
Movement for the Refounding of the Fourth International
For us whatever the political differences may be -- and they are huge ones -- the workers of the world and the revolutionaries should be on the same side as those who oppose imperialist aggression, regardless of the political nature of their existing leadership.
The intensification of the world capitalist crisis brings to the fore and shows the truth of the immediate need for a revolutionary leadership of the struggles that are happening and that are going to grow more and more in the next period.
We underline the decisive importance of the slogan for the immediate refounding of the Fourth International, not as a promise for the future, but as the program and the organization that are urgently needed to advance the fight for the revolutionary interests and for the revolutionary outcome of the present historical crisis of capitalism.

Mobilize Workers Power Against War on Iraq! Defeat All the Imperialists!
The League for the Fourth International declares that this imminent invasion of Iraq must be fought by mobilizing powerful working-class action internationally, including labor boycotts of war material and workers strike actions against the war.
The Platform spreads the illusion that imperialist governments can “contribute to democratic, diplomatic and non-violent means as the solution to international conflicts.” Meanwhile 370 Dutch troops and Patriot missile units are to be sent to “defend” Turkey and Dutch F-16s bombard the Afghani population, in raids that killed more than a dozen civilians this week.
With millions around the world outraged at the impending massacre in Iraq and with the example of the recent action by Scottish train engineers in refusing to move a freight train loaded with munitions bound for the Gulf, the perspective of class struggle opposition to the war is clearly not utopian.

Indonesians have had more freedom in the last two weeks than they have had in the last three decades, but exhilaration is already being replaced by concern over the number of obstacles that lie in the path of political reform.
