Siemens' [SI] Information and Communication Mobile Group will supply and install equipment for the second GSM network to be built in Belarus under a 30 million euro ($27.5 million) contract with the joint venture of Russian mobile operator OJSC Mobile Telesystems and Belarus telecom enterprise Mezhdugorodnaya Svyaz.
Service on the network is scheduled to start during this quarter in the capital city of Minsk.
Service is expected to start by the end of the year in large Belarus cities including Brest, Gomel and Witebsk.
