Espionnage: The French Listen In To Their Allies as Well
Communications take place in space, and the satellites are spied on from the ground, by the French as well, who are past masters at the game.
There is nothing new about the accusation, but it has come back into vogue over recent months, and fresh revelations have provided previously unknown information about a gigantic Anglo-American interception network, initially devised to spy on the USSR, but directed against their allies, and France in particular, as well.
The Americans are much more skilled than the French at this new espionnage battle, and particularly so as far as "big space ears" are concerned, which are satellites specially designed to intercept ground communications and capable of switching from one orbit to another according to the priority of the day.

New Caledonia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
New Caledonia is considered one of the world's most botanically-important, and critically endangered hotspots.
This isolated New Caledonia from the rest of the world's landmasses, and made it a Noah's Ark of sorts, preserving a snapshot of prehistoric Gondwanan forests.
Moreover, the New Caledonia Barrier Reef, which surrounds Grande Terre and the Isle of Pines (Île des Pins), is the second-largest coral reef in the world after Australia's Great Barrier Reef, reaching a length of 1,500 kilometres (930 mi).

The first 18 of 59 Abrams battle tanks – bought from the United States at a cost of $528 million – were unloaded at Port Melbourne today.
The army's Abrams tanks have been reconditioned from a model first built in 1989, but Dr Nelson denied suggestions Australia had bought second-hand goods, saying most components were new.
