 Fujitsu NZ to deliver turnkey project to Samoa Communications : FUJITSU New Zealand
New Zealand, 8 May, 2002 — Fujitsu New Zealand, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Australia, has secured a US$1.1 million plus contract from Samoa Communications Limited to design and build a high quality broadband network linking the islands of Upolu and Savaii.
Samoa Communications staff will participate in the installation and commissioning of the network under the supervision of Fujitsu, which will also provide the necessary training to local staff to maintain and operate the new network.
In Australia and New Zealand Fujitsu is helping corporate and government customers to design, build and operate solutions which offer competitive advantage in the internet world, from state-of-the-art infrastructure through to complex e-Business solutions.

 Government Communications Security Bureau - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) is an intelligence agency of the New Zealand government.
The GCSB was established by Prime Ministerial order in 1977 and operates a satellite communications interception station at Waihopai and a radio communications interception station at Tangimoana.
In 2003 the Government Communications Security Bureau Act 2003 was passed, establishing the Bureau as a public service department.
