  Greece v Commission (Agriculture) [2003] EUECJ C-157/00 (09 January 2003)
It follows that, where irregularities justifying the application of a financial correction persist after the date of the written communication of the results of the checks, the Commission is entitled and even obliged to take account of that situation when it determines the period to which the financial correction in question is to relate.
The Commission contends that, in the prefecture of Imathia and the district of the sub-prefecture of Edessa (Greece), applications for grubbing-up premiums in respect of parcels which had been leased during January 1996 for a period not exceeding, in mostinstances, one or two years were in general accepted.
Isolated infringements of the Community legislation, such as those brought to light by the Commission staff, are not liable to jeopardise the proper functioning of the system or the proper management of Community resources to such an extent that a financial correction of 10% of the declared expenditure is justified.

 Greece v Commission (Agriculture) [2001] EUECJ C-373/99 (06 December 2001)
In that regard, it is apparent from the 1994 summary report that in the course of a number of inspections carried out by the EAGGF in Greece deficiencies were found in the system for controlling and administering financial compensation granted to organisations of fruit and vegetable producers.
That inspection revealed that the re-examination procedure by the Greek authorities could generally be considered acceptable as far as Imathia was concerned but that, in Pella, a considerable number of organisations should not have been recognised owing to inadequacies in their technical facilities.
According to the supplement to the 1995 summary report, the Commission's officers concluded that the correction proposed for 1995, in respect of products withdrawn from the market during the 1994/95 and earlier marketing years, was justified given the serious nature of the shortcomings detected during a number of inspections.

Looking at the communities inside the perimeter of the rice fields, 59% in the region of Thessaloniki consider the problem medium to non-existent, while only 26% in Serres consider this to be so.
