Clydesdale Bank has outperformed its competitors in Scotland to not only secure the title of UK's most improved bank for a second time, but achieve a top three placing in Britain's leading survey into how small businesses view their banks. 
Clydesdale's performance rating in the perception of its customer respondents has risen by almost 12 per cent since the previous survey was undertaken two years ago.
In contrast, the Royal Bank of Scotland's perceived performance only rose by 3.9 per cent while Bank of Scotland's rating increased by only 0.4 per cent.  Lloyds-TSB, who suffered a 8 percent decrease in perceived performance in 2002, dropped again in 2004 by 3 per cent.

Mr Herron (50), from Kilwinning, was co-driving for Glasgow’s Alan Doncaster in their Peugeot 206 as they competed in the Brick & Steel Border Counties Rally which utilised the famous Northumbrian forest stages.
"This was a tragic accident which has greatly affected the closeknit community of rallying not only in Scotland but across the UK," Jim Brown, chairman of New Pig Scottish Rally Championship and Coltness Car Club, said.

 International bodybuilding hits Cayman this weekend
It is the first time the event will be held in the Cayman Islands, and only the second time it will be held in the Caribbean, the first time being Barbados in 2004.
