Astrology: Composite relationship horoscope; how it works, what it is.
A composite chart is simply a horoscope made up of the mutual midpoints between the natal charts of two different persons - the composite Sun is located at the midpoint between the two natal Suns, the composite Moon is at the midpoint between the two natal Moons, and so on.
Since the composite chart (and by extension the relationship itself) is created by the combination of repetitive individual cycles and their mutual exchange, the longer two people are together, the stronger the effect of the composite chart as it ingrains itself and achieves a momentum of its own.
Composite charts most certainly indicate this immediately, but using them to begin with gives both partners a kind of control they previously would not have had and enables them to fix to some extent that which should otherwise have been avoided and to maximize benefits that might otherwise have been taken for granted.

 Annotation for Lester, Joel
In Bach's music, the primary metric level is almost always the individual beat (fast harmonic rhythm); frequently there is "functionally meaningful harmonic motion at the very fastest levels in the piece on a continuous basis" (130).
Among those chiefly influenced by Schenker in their development of a rhythmic theory is Arthur Komar, whose 1969 dissertation, "A Theory of Suspensions" offers "a comprehensive metric theory in which every pitch at every level in a hierarchical analysis is paired with a specific duration in a specific metric position" (200).
Lester's pervading doctrine in this chapter (and in chapter 5) is that rhythms and phrase structures are as much an element of style as are harmonic language, orchestration, form types, and aesthetic attitudes (242).

The tonal and rhythm patterns taught at the aural/oral level are learned with appropriate tonal solfege syllables or rhythm solfege syllables.
The main type is the rhythm and tonal solfege syllables assigned to individual pitches or durations in tonal and rhythm patterns (for example, the tonal syllables do-mi-so for the notes C-E-G in C major).
At composite synthesis, students read and write a series of tonal and rhythm patterns with the ability to identify the tonality or meter of the series.

Llewellyn's On-line Bookstore: Excerpt: Composite Charts: The Astrology of Relationships
As earlier described, the composite chart is a horoscope made up of the mutual midpoints between the natal charts of two persons-the composite Sun is located at the midpoint between the two natal Suns, the composite Moon is at the midpoint between the two natal Moons, and so on.
The composite Sun is precisely the point at which these rhythms shift over from one person to the other, and shift from relative increase to decrease and vice versa, one to another.
Since the composite chart and, by extension, the relationship itself, is created by the combination of repetitive individual cycles and their mutual exchange, the longer two people are together, the stronger and more complete the effect of the composite chart is as it ingrains itself and achieves a momentum of its own.

ACC Clinical Trials - March 2001
Patients were had a mean follow-up of just under 20 months with 9 primary endpoints occurring in the rhythm control arm vs. 10 in the rate control group for an annual incidence of a composite endpoint of 6.1%.
Although sinus rhythm was successfully achieved through internal or external cardioversion in 70% of patients in the rhythm-control group, it was maintained in only 23% after 3 years, despite as many as 4 cardioversions and 4 antiarrhythmic drug trials per patient.
Thus, one of the central questions in AF therapy is whether to attempt to restore normal sinus rhythm (so-called rhythm control) or instead to aim for an acceptable ventricular rate using a combination of digoxin, beta blockers, and calcium-channel antagonists (so-called rate control).

In performance, a cross rhythm becomes a composite unit by combining the contrasting beat schemes into a one line resultant rhythm or motif that recurs throughout the measure scheme as a unifying element.
Discovering the character of a cross rhythm simply implies absorbing the distinct texture produced by the interplay of the beat schemes, noting the distinct rate of speed with which they coincide or disagree.
A cross rhythm in its basic form begins with a moment of resolution and continues with moments of conflict, thus showing a progression from a "static" beginning to a "dynamic" continuation.

Timeline rhythms, which are the main beat schemes of the music, may represent the stability of self.
In the polyrhythm technique, the second line of rhythms shifts to a different starting time in the scheme, and creates a different texture resulting in a sense of conflict followed by a resolution.
When combined, these ostinato patterns will represent what Ladzekpo refers to as the “composite rhythm scheme.” Depending on the competency level of the students, this will be performed as other students create body movements to fit each pattern that is repeated.
