		Compstall is a small village within the Stockport MBC in England, between Marple Bridge and Romiley.
		It was formerly a mill village, built by George Andrew, and most of the original mill cottages and other structures remain unchanged.
		It is where Etherow Country Park is situated and Compstall sees many thousands of visitors a year to the popular park.

		It's probably a preparation for major excavations of Compstall Road from July to November to repair/replace old sewers.
		Similarly, the planters at the junction of Sandy Lane with Compstall Road (one of them shown right) was outfitted with a much fancier set of plants for the summer.
		Having spent 4 months since the beginning of July digging up the south side of Compstall Road, the sewer repair crew shifted across to the north side towards the end of October.

		After a couple of months, the battered bollard on the island at the junction of Compstall Road and Sandy Lane has been restored to its former vertical condition.
		April showers created a boating lake on the west side of the mini-park in addition to the usual Olympic swimming pool on the south side (nearer to the camera in this panoramic picture).
		The pictures show the 2 planters at the junction of Sandy Lane with Compstall Road (Left & Centre) and the one at the junction of Lyme Grove with Compstall Road (Right), which has just a single tier this season.
