Computer Systems Research Group - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Computer Systems Research Group was a research group that was dedicated to enhancing ATandT Unix operating system and funded by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
The group had licensed the source code from ATandT early in the 70s, but as the operating system became very popular, ATandT jacked up the licensing fee.
The group works went by the name BSD, and the last release from the group was called 4.4BSD-lite.

At the core of these ideas is the notion that wearable computers should seek to merge the user's information space with his or her work space.
This requirement often leads researchers to investigate replacements for the traditional console interfaces such as a keyboard or mouse, which generally require a fixed physical relationship between the user and device.
Several of these systems require system or application software, some of which is distributed to the community.
