Con (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (via CobWeb/3.1 planetlab-6.cs.princeton.edu)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
Con is a television series on Comedy Central in which con artist Skyler Stone reveals the secrets of his profession by performing confidence tricks, scams, and hoaxes of various degrees of complexity on camera.
Most of his cons revolve around him claiming that he is filming a television show or movie of some sort, and that the product or service he wishes to acquire will be advertised in the film or show.
There is a brief disclaimer at the beginning and end of each show explaining that parts of the show are reenacted and that the targets of the cons are reimbursed for what was taken.

The shows spanned a record amount of exhibit space — 1.88 million net square feet occupied by 1,968 companies.
That translates into what show organizers note is a combined figure of more than 45 acres — equivalent to more than 41 football fields or 29 soccer fields.
Attendance and exhibit numbers reflected an improved economy, including pent-up demand to replace aging fleets, show organizers contend, while reinforcing the expositions' reputation as a global “one stop” source for comparison shopping, educational programs and networking.
