RIBA: CONCOURSE   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-26)
Concourse is dedicated to fulfilling a primary aim of: raising public and professional awareness of innovative ideas and practices so that higher standards can be set and the built environment improved for the benefit of the public at large.
Concourse grew from a belief that art, design and construction professional training and practice had, in the second half of the 20th century, become locked into a separatist culture that denied practitioners much understanding of closely related professional practices and did not promote the benefits of inter-disciplinary working.
Concourse is primarily a network for the discussion of ideas and the promotion of the collaborations of artists, architects, academics, environmentalists, town planners, surveyors, construction managers, landscape architects, and all others concerned with the improvement of training and practice in these fields.
