Abstract factory pattern - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In normal usage, the client software would create a concrete implementation of the abstract factory and then use the generic interfaces to create the concrete objects that are part of the theme.
Objects of a concrete type are indeed created by the factory, but the client code accesses such objects only through their abstract interface.
Adding new concrete types is done by modifying the client code to use a different factory, a modification which is typically one line in one file.

Object (computer science) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While this interpretation is useful in the discussion of abstract theory, it is not concrete enough to serve as a primitive in the discussion of more concrete branches (such as programming) that are closer to actual computation and information processing.
Creating an instance of a class is sometimes referred to as instantiating the class.
A real-world example of an object would be "my dog", which is an instance of a type (a class) called "dog", which is a subclass of a class "animal".

 Concrete class: Definition and links.
In computer science 's object-oriented programming, a concrete class is a class for which entities (instances) may be created.
An object of class Abstract can not be created because the function MyVirtualMethod has not been defined ( the =0 is C++ syntax for the a pure virtual function, a function that must be part of any (derived) class but is not defined in the base class.
The Concrete class is a concrete class because it's functions (in this case, only one function) have been declared and implemented.

 Concrete class
One is that the class is abstract; but for that alone, a single pure virtual function would have been sufficient.
The other thing going on is that classes which derive from the base class must implement /each/ of the pure virtual functions they inherit in order to qualify as a concrete class.
Class C now inherits from abstract classes X and Y ( im mixing abstract class and interface intentionally) and not from class B. If however Class C must have exactly the same funcftionality for methods 1,2, 3 as those of class B then instead of inheriting from class B it could use delegation.

This class inherits the interface of the abstract ACE_Dumpable class and is instantiated with the implementation of the concrete component class <class concrete="">.
Note that <class concrete=""> need not inherit from a common class since ACE_Dumpable provides the uniform virtual interface!

Mainframeforum - Implementing concrete class : what is wrong with this?
But my question was about: class B "implements" concrete class A (not "extends").
concrete classes, and implements is for interfaces (which are purely abstract).
Well, to be more precise, it has concrete classes, abstract classes, and interfaces.

A class may use a set of interfaces to specify collections of operations it provides to its enviroment.
A component is typically specified by one or more classifiers (e.g., implementation classes) that reside on it, and may be implemented by one or more artifacts (e.g, binary, executable, or script files).
A class that is related to one or more classes by a composition relationship.

Determination of Class of Concrete for Bridge Design   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-21)
For major project with a large volume of concrete or a unique project, it is suggested that the preliminary bridge plan development include a documented meeting with the Service Center Materials Lab concerning the concrete class to be used for the contract.
For future projects the Bridge Design Section should strive to minimize the number of different concrete classes and utilize concrete strengths for design that are consistent with the realistic production capability of the local concrete suppliers.
This will probably mean exclusive use of Class 4000 cast in concrete for the typical prestressed girder bridge and the use of Class 5000 cast in place concrete for the typical post-tensioned bridge.

In particular, we don't need to ensure that the base addresses of all the pointers are mapped into separate processes at the same absolute memory base address.
