Webb is a small lunar impact crater that is located near the eastern edge of the Mare Fecunditatis, in the eastern part of the Moon near the equator.
It is to the north of the prominent Langrenus crater, and west of Maclaurin crater.
The interior of Webb crater is relatively dark compared to the inner walls of the rim, and it has a low hill at the mid-point of the interior.

Condon was known for his multiplex plotting, fascination with trivia, and loathing for those in power; at least two of his books featured thinly disguised versions of Richard Nixon.
Condon is a lunar crater that lies on the eastern shore of the Sinus Successus, a bay along the northeast edge of Mare Fecunditatis.
It lies midway between the larger Apollonius crater to the north and the smaller Webb crater to the south on the Mare Fecunditatis.

In 1943, Condon joined the Manhattan Project; however, within six weeks, he resigned as a result of conflicts with General Leslie R. Groves, the project's military leader.
Condon was one of the physicists whose loyalty to the United States was challenged by members of Congress — including Congressman Richard M. Nixon, who called for the revocation of his security clearance — in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Allen Hynek hoped that Condon's reputation would not be soured by the Condon Report, writing, "It is unfortunate that, almost certainly, popular history will henceforth link Dr. Condon’s name with UFOs, and only the arcane history of physics will accord him his true place and record his brilliant career in contributing to the undestanding...

The present crater floor is underlain by loose, porous, and permeable debris from the landslide caused by the collapse of the upper third of the volcano during the 1980 eruption.
The most active surface processes taking place in the crater are (1) continued landslides from the steep crater walls, (2) fluvial down cutting in the stream courses that have established themselves across the crater floor, and (3) debris flows developing from slope failure on the north crater floor.
The presence of red sulfur bacteria indicates that sulfur is an active component in the aqueous chemistry of the crater environment and a prominent source of acidity in the water that acts to digest crater rocks.
