  CONN  SAXOPHONES
Conn, the founder and owner of the company, was elected to the United States Congress in 1892, and introduced a bill which required that every United States Army regiment have its own band, and specified the instrumentation for the musical unit.
By 1916, Conn was advertising that “the saxophone department has been quadrupled in size”, and the 1918 catalog references the introduction of a straight soprano in E flat and a straight soprano in C. This catalog also makes mention of the Conn Microtuner and the Conn Resopad, both hailed as significant advances.
A surprising lapse of judgment was exhibited by Conn in 1928, with the introduction of the F Mezzo Soprano.

 Conn's Syndrome
Conn’s syndrome is another name for primary hyperaldosteronism, which is the most common cause of secondary hypertension and may also be referred to as aldosteronism.
With Conn’s syndrome, excessive amounts of aldosterone are produced by one or more adrenal tumors (usually benign), by hyperplasia (an increased number of aldosterone-producing cells), for unknown reasons (idiopathic), or rarely, due to a cancerous adrenal tumor.
Secondary aldosteronism, which is not considered Conn’s syndrome, can occur as a result of anything that increases renin levels, such as decreased blood flow to the kidneys, low blood pressure, or low sodium levels in the urine.

Conn's folding reed organ was invented by William V.

Conn's Truth, for the next decade, asserting that it was "better adapted than any other for missionaries, evangelists, Sunday School service, prayer meetings, the Gospel wagon, pic-nics [sic] and outings, trolley parties, students of harmony, vaudeville artists, and the village opera house.
The Conn Organ should not be confounded with the portable folding organs on the market which are fragile in construction, unreliable in mechanism and crude in musical quality.
