		March 21 - Alcatraz, a federal penitentiary on an island in San Francisco Bay, closes; the last 27 prisoners are transferred elsewhere at the order of Attorney General Robert F Kennedy.
		On December 6 she is sentenced to nine months in prison.

		On December 16, 1972 he was convicted of that crime, and on January 19, 1973, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison and fined $25,000.
		The US Government claims that Kennedy’s neck/back wound was caused by the same bullet that caused five wounds in John Connally.
