At the Club's annual general meeting in April 1971, a resolution was passed that "The Monday Club is against Britain signing the Treaty of Rome".
The Monday Club was opposed to the dismantling of the Stormont government in Northern Ireland and the imposition of direct rule.
Conservative MPs Andrew Hunter (Club member) and Roger Knapman, then a junior minister in the Conservative government (and now leader of the UK Independence Party), and Count Nikolai Tolstoy, were part of the delegation which, after going to the front lines, was entertained by President Franjo Tudjman and the Croatian government in Zagreb.

The Monday Club is a British Conservative Party pressure group formed to defend the idea of the British Empire after Harold Macmillan's "Winds of Change" speech.
It tended to be seen as the "authoritarian" wing of the party, and was very active on the issue of immigration.
In the 1970s the group had thousands of members, but they now number in the low hundreds.

During a "frank" meeting, the Tory chairman, David Davis, told the club's board that he was severing its links with the party until it stopped promoting inflammatory views on race, such as the voluntary repatriation of ethnic minorities.
His move means the club cannot call itself the Conservative Monday Club.
A central office source said last night the club would have to rewrite its constitution to remove any reference to race and immigration, and the change would have to be agreed by the 700 members.

By the way, I looked today (20 October 2001), at the Monday Club website and they still describe themselves as the "Conservative Monday Club" and I can discern no amendment to their 'aims' on the page which deals with their views on various topics.
Perhaps since the three Conservative MPs were required to resign if the Conservative whip was not to be withdrawn, there is no-one left within the "Conservative Monday Club" who knows how to update their site (this is meant to be ironic comment, although the tragedy is that it might well be true).
The truth is that, provided they keep quiet about their odious views, the Conservative Party is perfectly happy to go along with the charade - witness the recent change forced upon the Monday Club concerning payment to those who agree to voluntary repatriation.
